The first step
A week of someone actually looking
One week. $2,500, fixed.
If you are responsible for something and there is nobody who can own its technology, the first step is not a proposal. It is a week of someone actually looking.
What you get
- A written scope of what actually needs building.
- A plan, in an order that can be argued with.
- A fixed quote for the build.
- A straight account of what is still broken and what it will cost.
You keep all of it whether or not you hire me for the build.
Why it starts here
Nobody knows at the start how big the problem is, including me. A proposal written before anyone has looked is a guess with a number attached.
The price is fixed, so the only thing you are deciding is whether one week of looking is worth $2,500. Nothing after the week is assumed.
After the week
If you want me to build it, the quote you are holding is the price. If you would rather hand the plan to someone else, or build it yourselves, it is yours to hand over.
How to start
Describe what is stuck in a paragraph and say you want the diagnostic. If a week of my time is the wrong first step, I will tell you that instead.
